Garden-to-fork

This post is about never giving up. One year ago this space was nothing more than an oddly-shaped rectangle of invasive plants and weeds. This week we fed over 100 5th-graders lettuce harvested from the garden.

I have been so thrilled to be a part of this project, to help Amalie’s vision come to life. Even more excited to see every child eating healthy food that they planted and harvested themselves. Full circle moments are the best.

Those of you who have ever taken on a project know all too well how many obstacles,  sleepless nights and moments of doubt one must overcome. So, if that’s where you are right now,  take hope that it will turn out all right. Just never give up on your goals. Keep talking to people, networking, planning, and mostly surround yourself with people who inspire you and encourage you.
